AI researcher passionate about building fair and trustworthy AI systems.
Zijian is from Shanghai, China and is a PhD student at University of Central Florida. He is actively conducting research at the UCF Institute of Artificial Intelligence under Prof. Song Wang, focusing on fairness trustworthy AI and multimodal learnings.
Beyond research, he enjoys cooking, playing steel-string acoustic guitar, and taking road trips. He has a cat named Milo who has an unusual passion for yogurt lids.
His technical expertise spans deep learning (PyTorch distributed training, Flash Attention, model optimization), medical AI (computer vision, multi-modal vision-language models, fairness evaluation), audio information retrieval (speech processing, audio event detection), and systems engineering (CUDA, distributed computing, cloud infrastructure).
